The program is offered in English at a public university and requires a tuition fee of €5,000 per academic year.
The program is jointly offered by the Faculty of Business Administration (FPH VŠE) and CERGE-EI, a research and doctoral center at Charles University and the Institute of Economics, Czech Academy of Sciences.
The standard duration is 3 years (6 semesters), aligning with the credit requirements and learning outcomes for a full-time Bachelor’s program (180 ECTS).
Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) is required for admission and is verified during the application process. The entire program is taught in English, using primary and secondary English-language sources. Students also take a dedicated English course (C1 level).
Each cohort is planned to have 25–30 students, ensuring a close-knit learning environment and plenty of opportunities for interaction with faculty and peers.
Yes! The program is fully taught in English and targets international students. About 80% of students are expected to be from abroad, representing 10+ different nationalities per cohort. International faculty teach several courses, and students can choose from elective courses and semester exchanges at partner universities, including Erasmus+ programs.
Students have access to extensive library collections at both FPH VŠE and CERGE-EI, including printed and electronic books, journals, and databases like ScienceDirect, EconLit, JSTOR, Web of Science, Scopus, and more. Resources support research, coursework, and the Bachelor’s Project, and students can request interlibrary loans and other services.
Classes combine lectures, seminars, and practical exercises. The program emphasizes student-centered learning, peer-to-peer interaction, analytical and critical thinking, teamwork, and independent study. Assessment methods include tests, essays, presentations, and case study projects.
Students will benefit from leading experts from both CERGE-EI and FPH VŠE, gaining insights from research and practical applications in economics, markets, and organizational management.
Knowledge and skills are evaluated through a Bachelor’s State Exam and a Bachelor’s Project. The program emphasizes quantitative methods, critical thinking, and a mix of economic and management knowledge.

Yes. Students who have not completed secondary school in the Czech Republic or Slovakia shall provide the recognition of their school diploma.
The Prague University of Economics and Business as a higher education institution which was awarded institutional accreditation is, pursuant to Section 48 (4) to (6) of the Act on Higher Education Institutions, entitled not to require within the admission procedure a document on the general recognition of equivalence of education gained abroad and may itself, for the admission procedure, assess whether the applicant’s education attained abroad meets the legal condition for admission to studies. To finish the bachelor’s program it is necessary to obtain 180 credits (control points). Each student gets in addition, 36 credit vouchers for an unsuccessful examination of any course. For more details, see Study and Examination Rules.
According to the Study and Examination Rules, each student should acquire by the end of the semester the number of credits which equals the sequence of the semester multiplied 20 times. For example, by the end of the fourth semester, the student must obtain at least 4 * 20 credits. Not meeting this condition leads to exclusion from the program.
Yes, under certain conditions beginning from the third semester, according to Study and Examination Rules.
Students are allowed to change from one program to another only between programs taught in foreign languages (English) at the Faculty of Business administration. To change for a Czech study program or programs provided by other faculties, passing new entrance exams is required.
